How Cycling Became Part Of My Life
I didn’t realize when cycling stopped being “something I do” and became part of how I live.
It’s not just about riding. It somehow connects to everything.
Work, discipline, how I take care of myself, even the way I think about looking good or buying something nice. There’s something about cycling that feels… elevated. Elegant, in a way. But at the same time, it’s intense, competitive, and demanding.
I love that contrast.
You can care about how you look, the kit, the details… and then wake up early and push yourself harder than you expected. It gives you both…the aesthetic and the effort. And I think that’s why it makes you better. Mentally, physically, overall.
There’s also something about the rhythm of it that clears your mind. You don’t overthink as much. You just go.
And then travel changes completely when you bring the bike.
It’s honestly a different world.
First of all…you can eat whatever you want, which for me is a big deal because I love eating. But beyond that, you get to see places differently. You reach roads you wouldn’t otherwise, quieter spots, more remote areas… and everything feels closer. You actually notice what’s around you.
From the bike, things just look better.
It sounds simple, but it’s kind of magical.
And then there’s the people.
Riding with the right group, the right energy…it makes the whole experience. There’s something about sharing that effort that creates a different kind of connection.
And yes, I love the competition too.
That feeling of pushing, chasing, testing yourself… it’s part of it. Of course it can be dangerous, but I also think a lot of it comes down to skill, awareness, and respect for the sport.
The more you ride, the more you understand it. The more it becomes part of you.
At this point, I don’t really separate cycling from the rest of my life. It influences how I move, how I travel, how I take care of myself, even how I think.
And if I had to explain it simply…it gives me a sense of purpose I didn’t know I needed.
This is the space to share the way I approach wellness…through cycling, style, and everything in between…for the girls who are just as into it. I hope it inspires you to enjoy it the way I do.
